On our way from Utah Jay called us to say that the Desert Eagle RV Park at Nellis Air Force Base had no electricity and that the power would not be restored until the next day. Since it was 105 degrees, we decided to stay at the Hitchin Post about a half mile away. We stayed 3 nights (forgetting to get a picture), then Jay signed us into Desert Eagle.
We spent as much time as we could with Jay enjoying his and Sheana’s company whenever we could get together.
As for expeditions, we toured the Thunderbird museum and the Adversary Threat Museum. Both were very interesting.
We also drove to Henderson to attend a mini Ironman Triathalon and snapped a picture of the winner, an Australian.
The rest of our time was spent cleaning the RV or doing laundry, playing table tennis and frequenting Famous Dave’s, a restaurant with a non-smoking bar (a rarity in Las Vegas).
