We stayed at Meteor Crater RV Park (on the outskirts of Winslow) for two nights.
That was just enough time to visit the Meteor Crater 6 miles away,
view lizards, stinkbugs, and ruins at Homolovi Ruins State Park,
and to tour downtown Winslow. I snapped this picture of Ray on Rte 66. He “was standin on the corner” as the Eagles’ song says. (I thought that would make a great location challenge, but Ray disagreed.)
After the corner we toured the Old Trails Museum
then ate lunch at the Posada, a high class hotel which some very neat artwork. Someday I'd like to return as an overnight guest.
