Oct 16-24 Lake Mead National Recreation Area, NV

From Oct 1st to the 16th, the RV was in storage while we flew home to do errands and visit family. Ray visited his Dad, I visited my sister and we both visited Brian and Holly and their cats, Bud Bud and Gregory, not to mention a few pigs at Flying Pan Park.

We flew back to Vegas on the 16th and moved to Lake Mead RV Village near Boulder City. We camped as near to the water as we could and enjoyed the view.

Jay and Sheana joined us on the 19th and we kept busy by visiting the bridge over Hoover Dam.

We also fed the fish at the nearby marina.

The next day we went kayaking on the Colorado River at Willow Beach (another part of the Lake Mead NRA).

We saw Bighorn Sheep and a well camouflaged heron, not to mention some beautiful scenery.

Jay’s friends Brooks and Staub (and their dogs), joined us for part of the weekend, setting up camp with Jay and Sheana in the no hookups campground adjacent to ours and visiting us to play trivial pursuit and catch phrase. We had a great time.  It was hard to say goodbye.
