We set up camp at Lion Country Safari KOA in Loxahatchee, FL.
Included in our campground fee was two days admission into the adjacent drive- thru animal park. We really enjoyed the rhinos and giraffes, not to mention the very laid back gibbons.
The Lorikeets, which you could hand feed, were very hungry.
Did you know that anacondas are a problem in Florida? I wouldn’t want to run into one in the wild.
The reason we stopped in Loxahatchee in the first place was to visit my niece Kelly and her family in nearby Wellington. It was wonderful to see them. We really enjoyed the conversation and Ray got the chance to play with their dogs Cocoa and Cooper (who were literally blurs of activity).
