We parked the trailer at a storage facility and spent 10 days in Winter Park with my sister Donna. We watched lots of basketball since VCU (our son Jeffrey’s alma mater) made the final four in the NCAA tournament.
We also spent lots of time watching birds. The neighborhood was full of ibises. Here’s one (and a half) crossing the street.
The Audobon Center for Birds of Prey in nearby Maitland had some beautiful raptors.
And there were Sandhill cranes at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell where my brother-in-law Stu rests. It's really a lovely, peaceful place.
We ate well during our stay at Winter Park, enjoying various restaurants and home-cooked meals. Jeremiah’s makes a mean gelati and Donna made a delicious dessert with pick-your-own strawberries.
Here are Donna and I with our strawberry containers.
Cookie, Donna’s cat, brought lots of smiles.
It was quality family time. Thanks, Donna!
