March 6-10 Santa Rosa Beach, FL

After an easy drive we arrived at our campsite at Topsail Hill Preserve, an immaculately kept Florida state park, in Santa Rosa Beach.

This area (in the Panhandle) is part of the Emerald Coast, known for its beautiful white sand beaches.

We visited the beach twice, but both times, after an hour, the cold drove us back to our RV.

We probably would have returned from the beach earlier but it was almost a mile walk so we waited for the tram which runs from the beach to the campground. At least we saw some wildlife as we waited.

The above was not as friendly as the last lizard we met. (That one was crawling up our trailer when Ray snapped a picture.)

We went on only one excursion--to Eglin Air Force Base where we toured the Air Force Armament Museum. Very interesting.

I should mention that we celebrated Ray's birthday on the 9th. He requested a corn beef and cabbage meal, so that's what I prepared.
